COTEAUX DU LAYON

This is the largest vineyard in Anjou. In the 16th century, its excellent reputation did not stop at France's borders. Dutch wine merchants began exclusively buying these sweet wines thanks to their great ageing potential which allowed them to travel without risk. These mellow sweet wines improve over time.
