2010

Red Burgundy - 2010

Meteorological data: a record harsh winter. The first flowering is on June 10, and the vines are affected by botrytis because of the July rain. The climate is fickle.

Harvest status: Date: between September 22nd and 25th.

Abundance: 30% to 40% below the regional average.

Overall quality of the vintage: excellent. Transparent, energetic, balanced and classic reds. Refined tannins.

White Burgundy - 2010

Overall quality of the vintage: good. The wines recall the whites of the 1970s and 80s. Robust, with a rustic touch. Winter was particularly harsh in Burgundy, with temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius in December and destructive frosts for the vines. A more uncertain summer, with alternating hot and rainy periods. The harvest began in September, with little volume and a lot of sorting. The quality is very good, and 2010 produced some balanced wines, both red and white, with good ageing potential.
