MOULIS-EN-MEDOC

This appellation can also lay claim to Moulis AOC status. In the Médoc region, its vineyards lie to the south of the Margaux appellation, a fair distance from the Gironde estuary and trace a line about 12 kilometres long and 300 to 400 metres wide. Its crus are well known, because many of them, such as Chateau Maucaillou, Chasse-Spleen and Poujeaux, are classed as crus bourgeois.
