White Burgundy - 1968

Overall quality of the vintage: bad. Chaptalised wines, but some exceptions.

Red Bordeaux - 1968

Meteorological data: cold Spring. Rainy and cold August. Timid sun in September.

Quality: unripe.

White Bordeaux - 1968

Overall quality of the vintage: poor. To be avoided.

Syrupy Bordeaux - 1968

Overall quality of the vintage: poor. All the Sauternes were declassified. 

White Alsace - 1968

One meter of snow in winter, rain all summer long: in poorly managed vineyards, yields were very high.

Loire Wine - 1968

The year was so excellent for sparkling wines that some producers drew parallels between social ferment and that of the wine! A year for very dry, even rather acidic wines, but not for sweet wines.
