Red Burgundy - 2009
Meteorological data: excellent conditions. April and May are sunny. Heavy rain in mid-July swells the grapes.
Harvest status: Date: 9 to 12 September.
Abundance: generous.
Quality: good.
Overall quality of the vintage: opulent and of good quality. Considerable ageing potential.
White Burgundy - 2009
Overall quality of the vintage: poor. After several complex years in the vineyard, 2009 is back to classicism. A cold winter, not much spring and an exceptional end of summer. The ideal season for a fine grape. The degree of maturity, excellent in Burgundy, produces very balanced and aromatic white wines. The reds are delicious, with great volume. Definitely will bear keeping.
